Making open source

Hi

I developed a PHP project that was not open source
Now I want make it open source to any body help me to developed it

This is my frst open source project and I dont know how should start
I want create a public repository for it and add it to some sites like sourceforge and ohloh
how should I start ?
what is the structures to me that my codes was not open source first

I think google code is your best option.

You'll need to make it well documented. Use PHPDoc on all classes and functions, noting the types of variable returned, the parameters required and a description of what they're doing.
