After the dust has settled and all the votes counted, here are the results that you, the SitePoint community, have named as your 2008 Community Award winners.

What will the winners receive? Starting in January, a shiny badge made this year by Varelse shall adorn every post they make for the year 2009, and the feeling of satisfaction that someone loves them (OK, voted for them)

Also, I'd like to recognize the SPF staff who made this years nomination process flow. Without their efforts, the awards process wouldn't have worked as well as it did. Each of these people helped to develop the process for this years nominations, helped to work out contingency plans, contacted nominees to see if they wanted to be eligible. All the grunt work which makes these kinds of things fun. In no particular order (mostly me trying to make sure I don't forget anyone - if I did, I apologize)....

I bet some of you are wondering who won the kits. Well, I'll tell you now...we took all the entries, and went over them with a fine tooth comb. We eliminated all those that couldn't follow instructions, and then took the rest, put them into the randomizer a dozen times, and the winners of the kits are....
