php syntax for some mathamatical operations

this is so important and I need an answer asap, so I came here hoping I could get just that....
I need to put in the following formula in php... so can anyone get me the syntax for it?

well, there are some formulas, y() and r(), that need to be defined as well...you formula as such is pretty easy. what variable are you trying to resolve it to ? i think this is more of a case of "do you actually know what your formula means ?"

well hmmm everything will be a variable, and there will be fields for the users to input, all we want to know is that how to put "e" and I think thats it...

so anything?!

http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.math.php might shed some light on the "e" issue. it's M_E as in:
