This is a very interesting post and a subject that will not go away for a long long time. I am a big supporter of the 2nd Amendment. I don't care that every law abiding citizen has one or 100. I am glad for them. If I enjoyed playing with guns and admiring them, I would have a collection also. My brothers and some of my friends, and most of my family all own guns. I see them as tools. And, like tools, once used for their intended purpose are put away until needed for a legitimate reason again. I just don't get a 'kick' out of owning a gun, never have since I was a kid. Maybe due to my military experience and realization of what guns are really intended for. I am a hunter and enjoy hunting. When I hunt deer, I don't go with a dull knife or a stick, to give it a chance. I go with my power arsenal to kill it as humanely as possible. It puts food on the table and keeps the deer population down at the same time.

Anyway, didn't mean to make such a big post. I have a lot of thoughts on the 2nd Amendment. The most important is, "When the government takes them, we will lose our freedoms." I have fought for those freedoms, and many of my comrades died fighting for us. Don't let them down, defend the right to own and carry a gun!

Guns are just part of society now. It's people that kill people not guns though. To be honest though I wish guns didn't exist I like the idea much more of warfare with sword and bow and arrows much more. There's so much more art in that. Guns are almost too powerful for a human being.
