I want to use a database for a new site, but I've never done this before, so... Does anyone know a good tutorial?

    Thanx in advance!

I've checked that one, but I was just wondering whether someone knew another one...

Note: I've checked Webmonkey too, so don't bother putting a link to it.

You might also try thickbook.com, both in the tutorials and code sections of the site.

    Hi,

Elledan, I highly suggest that you take the time to look at Kevin's tutorial, which is the one on this site. I have taken the time to look for other tutorials on this subject, but Kevin's, by far, is the best out of all of them.

His tutorial can get a site up and running with a Content Management system in no time, as long as you spend the time to read it and try to understand it. I had NO experience with php or mysql before his tutorial, but now after about 4-5 days of studying it, I am about 50% done with a very effeciant database driven site.

All of this is just my opinion. Take it how you want.
