    Hi,

I am trying to decide whether I should go ahead and use PHP templates or not. I have one main questions about using php templates, though. Do pages using php templates load faster or slower than pages that use several Server Side Includes?

    Thanks!

Since both are accomplished with Apache modules (assuming you are using Apache server), they should be equally fast. If I had to make a call one way or the other, though, I'd guess that SSI might be quicker since it's a simpler language than PHP, and so probably has less overhead.

But what if I used like 3-4 server side includes on one page, would ssi still be quicker than using just one php template file?
