Unable to view uploaded pictures on wordpress website?
Hi Everybody!
I've uploaded a wordpress site that i developed locally on WAMP and then i uploaded it to a server. The websites URL is www.energyworkforce.net
When i tested it locally, it worked fine. But when i transferred it to the webhosts root folder, it all appeared fine until i viewed the page live. All the pics are not there.
I checked the root directory on the server to see if there were any files i missed out particularly the wp-content folder (in the webhost's server) and i found a folder called uploads. Inside the uploads folder there was folder named 2008 and then another folder called 12.
All the images are in there. So i don't know what is really wrong?
I thought maybe i'd have to use Wordpress's dashboard (live) and then insert the images again. For testing purposes i edited a page and tried to insert an image and this is the error i got on the Wordpress Dashboard:
Unable to create directory C:\wamp\www\energyworkforce/wp-content/uploads/2008/12. Is its parent directory writable by the server?
How can i rectify this?
Thank you so much,
Jaysone
Thanks a zillion

I'm using filezilla, i logged in to filezilla and i'm viewing my files and folders that are on the the servers root directory. When i right-click the folder called uploads, i'm presented with options to change file attributes to make them writeable, readable, executable.
The "Change file attributes" window is seperated to 3 sections:
1) Owner Permissions (I think i understand this - Owner would mean me right?)
2) Group Permissions (This is what i dont know)
3) Public Permissions (Totally lost here)
Now which of these sections to i tick the "Write" checkbox to make it writeable?
Thank you,
Jaysone
