JavaScript Flash Controls

Hey guys.

All I want to do is create a JavaScript button that starts a flash video. I've been using the enablejsapi variable to access controls with other browsers, but having a tough time doing this with ie. Any thoughts?

Please note that I posted this in the JavaScript forum as well, I think it may be against the rules to double post, but I think this is an exception.

Hi there,

There are examples and tutorials in the Flash documentation. Please search "External API" in the Help panel (with quotes), or go to the following pages:

There is also two example applications for this located in the samples that install with Flash:

C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash 8\Samples and Tutorials\Samples\ActionScriptxternalAPI

None of those examples showed me what I wanted to do.

I ended up just using downloading google's swfobject script, which is about 700 lines of code.
