Embeding flash, Java etc. to page

Hi,

Since <object> is not fully supported by all browsers, I was wondering if there is anything I could do to embed flash(.swf etc.), Java etc into my page without compatibility issues.

Thanks, I went though it, however, I'm setting it aside for the moment because I was looking for something without a learning curve (how insignificant it may have been). Any other suggestions?

It's not complex - really it isn't. Plus it is one of the best methods as it allows for alternative content in the event that the script is unavailable.
