The topic says it all. I would like to have a script where by the site's owner can make site changes without any HTML knowledge or access to FTP.

I've looked around, but I'm having a hard time deciphering through all the muck to find the one that I need.

    Any suggestions?

You were probably expecting a response like this...but The CGI Resource Index has at least a dozen scripts like this...

I believe there's one called "Veniotte's News Updater" which is freeware and, in my opinion, quite good.

Yes, I was expecting a response like that. I was hoping to get a more detailed response like the one you gave me.

    Thanks Chris!

The absolute best, easiest, and most reliable proggie I have ever seen for this type of thing is called Page Publisher by Intereactive Tools. Here's the URL: http://www.interactivetools.com/pagepublisher.asp

If you don't mind spending $99, it is your best investment by a long shot .

If you want to develop a robust content-management system for your site, then a database backend would be ideal. Check out "Building a Database-Driven Web Site using PHP & MySQL" on SitePoint.com for detailed instructions on how to do this.

Actually, Kevin, I'm going to start working on a database driven site, just that it's not going to be this one. The actual site is New Life Community Church. If you look at the very top of the left column, you'll see a scripture. Basically what I'm doing now, is using SSI. The client uploads a simple text file via FTP and the pages call it via SSI. I recently had a client that screwed up their forum in a very similar way. My end goal is to keep this from happening by not letting them FTP access.
