How do you get around background images in outlook 2007?
As you all may know, background images do not display in Microsoft outlook 2007 because outlook now uses word to render HTML (genius
).
When reading the most recent version of sitepoint tech times I noticed that the header was a background image with the sitepoint name and newsletter name over the image, which is fine for my 03 version of outlook but i am guessing it breaks in 07. Can anyone verify? Is there a way around this? Does sitepoint plan on addressing the issue?

There is no way around it. You can use a background colour as a fallback, and I'm guessing thats what Sitepoint does - so Outlook 07 users get a plain background colour, and everyone else gets a nice background image.
That's what we do, anyway. Though we still avoid background images wherever possible.
