    Unhappy link to image

    Hello everyone,

I am designing my website at the moment, I have images on my services.html page and hyperlinks at the bottom of all my html pages, which relate to the images, I would like to be able to link the two together, for example if someone click on the hyperlink bees.html from any pages they will be able to see the bee image on my services.html pages. I've tried to add a link on the images and link it to the hyperlink text, but when i click on the hyperlink i get a blank page instead of seeing the image on my services.html, any reply would be greatly appreacite.

I am using dreamweaver cs4 for my website design.

    Many thanks in advance.

I don't understand exactly what you mean.

Are you trying to link to a html page by clicking on an image? Or are you trying to make an image appear on every page?

Can you show us what the relevant part of your code currently looks like?

Without knowing exactly what you are asking, I suspect your are using the html page as the src attribute for your image.

Post a little more information and somebody will be able to help.

I am sorry i was not sure if i am making sense either, right what i am after is when you click on the hyperlink.html text you get the image .
for example i have several images on my services page then down the bottom of that page and all my html pages i have several hyperlink.html which is name after each image, when you click on the hyperlink you get send to the services page and the image. for example i have an image of a bee, then the hyperlink is bee.html, so when you click on the bee.html you get send direct to the bee image.

any help would be much appreciated., i shall try in meantime if i can get it working.

    many thanks

I hope i won't get into trouble, but this is the example.

    my website www.juddpestcontrol.co.uk

on all the html pages on the right hand side there are links where there are red bullet points e.g bees, wasps, then on the services.html page there are images of bees and wasps etc, what i want is when people click on the bees on all the html pages they then get to the bees image on the services page.

please i hope i am not going into trouble i just want to show example, i shall delete the thread straight away.

    many thanks

    regards

You won't get into trouble for posting your URL, it is fine.

You simply need to create a new page for each pest you want to show. Link each bullet point to the apppropriate page.

    Is that what you want?

In that case what you need to do is use anchor tags on the page to link to a specific part of the page.

Just before each image add <a name="bee"></a>, <a name="rat"></a> etc.

To link to each use <a href="services.html#bee"><img src="bee.gif"></a>

Repeat for each image and link.

    Is that what you need?
