i had problem with mysql in linux

Hi ,

Now i want to use MySQL as per my requirements, My OS is Linux(Fedora). I installed MySQL is successfully, when i connect to the MySQL Server i got the following error.

error: 'Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)'

How can i solve it ? , kindly help me.

when you install mysql there is no password for the root user unless you set one.

go to the mysql website. there are specific instructions for installtions in the manual. as for setting passwords look in the manual for GRANT clause.
