Images slow down site in IE
I have a site like www.domain.com and have a content delivery network that delivers the the images etc. cdn.domain.com.
The the problem in IE is that the whole site hangs and waits for the images to load.
Is the browser not supposed to make a seperate connection from images from a different sub domain?
Any advice on this matter would be much appreciated.
Run a http debugger and see what is happening on the wire. Because of the way IE renders this could just be IE being IE as well.
One line of HTML code will download the image in its full size/resolution while the body code will show the same image in a lower size and/or resolution, so people won't wait the page to show...
Oh ok. What is that line of code? Coz some guy told a colleague of mine that I must add a script that loads the images asynchronously. But im not sure what he means by this.

Maybe it has something to do with the way the images are returned from that thumbnailers
