    adding patches to php and apache on win platform

    Hallo everybody!

    how can i add patches to php and apache, ive seen some patch files that has DIFF file ending and i was wondering how i can add these files on windows platform, is there any sub command that i can run thrue php.exe and apache.exe like apache.exe -patch patchfile.diff


    Please someone inform me about this

    afaik, these patches are essentially patches to the source code, not the executables. they're applied to the application's source code, and the app is then recompiled (a common step on linux/*nix/bsd systems).
    for win32, you either get the source code distribution and compile it yourself (with visual c++ or whatever they recommend)...or save yourself the trouble and download the latest executable (a lot less hassle, trust me).
