Help me choose colors for my health website

    Hey,

As the topic says, I'm building a website about health. Most of the website will include articles.

    What colors would you use?
I'm thinking about colors of the header, and menu in the right. link colors, etc.

    Would appreciate your input.

    Thanks!

What kind of health site is it? Exercise? Diet?

With a general health site I think you can be quite vibrant with the colours - reds, oranges, greens.

well i prefer going with Bluish look of the site for health stuff. Blue and white combination with little header fonts can be orange.

The combination you are saying very good...
a combination of blue and white with orange and use normaly in general business's corporate web site designs....
What you say about this color scheme...

As it is a health related web site so try to use light color combination....

I'd immediately think of very light greens, yellows, and reds.

Just the colors to confuse those with the most common form of color blindness!

green and white and blue aside from looking environmental, are also used in a lot of health websites I know. You have to have a lot of white space and one dash of bold color for a site like that.

I think of emerald, jade, and soft greens and white and cream. Green is just a health color, it relates to healthy and lush vegetation and the planet. And blue is also a good color too. I think if you get into the really bright reds, oranges, and yellows, it can come off as artificial or not naturally healthy. Not sure if that makes sense, but I've seen gyms use these color schemes and they are actually a turn off for me.

Health is generally associated with Greenery.
It would be accurate if you would use Green as a prominent color for your health-centered website.

I tend to agree with most here--green associates health, wellness, and lush life, to me.

    Thanks everyone.
I just made my head background as dark green (#5A6B5B), and menu background as bright strange yellow (#D1CDB4), and my links as.. well.. I haven't decided yet :-)

You use light color in your site, because most of the visitor like light colour. Use the colour which is eye catching and compatible with text color.
