    Does $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] call SUDO?

    Hi,

    When this code is executed:
    Code:
    <?php
      error_reporting (E_ALL);

      echo '<br>'.;
    ?>
    I get an entry in syslog:
    sudo: apache : TTY=unknown ; PWD=/var/www/html ; USER=root ; COMMAND=/sbin/ifconfig eth2

    Is it normal for a call to $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] to invoke SUDO?

    Thanks

    I don't see the SERVER variable in your code example. Anyway, maybe it has something to do with the "." after '<br>' ??

    Hi,

    I found the issue. It had nothing to do with the snippet I posted. Sorry. I had another page that made a call to ifconfig and used sudo to do that.

    Sorry for the mis-direction.
