Hello, I'm trying out Zend Guard on my local webserver which i installed using WAMP & XAMPP - @ seperate times(on a windows machine).
When I encoded some files and ran them on my system, well as you would guess, it didn't work. i tried to test run files which i encoded using Zend Guard, but when i run the files it kept telling me to install zend optimizer. the problem here is zend optimizer is already installed on my system, this i can tell from the phpinfo() output.
Can anyone PLEASE give me steps on how to setup my windows system to run Zend Encoded files or at least how to install Zend Optimizer on my windows machine to work with WAMP or XAMPP? Thanks.
You should know that if you encoded files with zend then these files could be easily decoded by anyone.
If you sell PHP software then you should consider open source license but put some text or file name that will help you find your scripts on google.
If you will find pirate scripts online then you can simply contact site owner and ask to buy script. Or hosting company to block site if sites uses pirate script.
Zend is not a protection at all. Ioncube is better protection.
There is no ioncube decoder in public. Dezender could be easily downloaded from warez sites.
thanks dudes. i've sorted it out. however the app i'm building is for an intranet, and those in charge are not too geeky, which gives me time to raise the funds to buy ioncube encoder, as i've been unable to acquire a cracked version.
