    CPMStar Review

    www.cpmstar.com

    Basic Facts

CPMStar is a network that targets young audiences because their niche is Gaming. Online, computer, and other other type of games. They seem to be fairly "nub" in my opinion. Nub is another word for amateur in gaming "terminology". According to their web site they been around since 2001. Their website design is not very impressive. Doesn't look that good compared to other networks.

They only got only five ad sizes available for you. 468x60, 728x90, 160x600, 300x250, and 125x125. The ad codes is made up of javascript, about five lines. Placing it on my web page, the ads load fairly fast. Which is good. I'm tired of networks like Adsdaq where you got to put your ads in an iframe.

They pay on a net-30 basis. You gotta make 50 dollars before they send you the check or via Paypal.

CPMstar has no referral program it seems which is a bummer. They also don't have a default system. So it's best to using an ad serving software like OpenX or put them in your other network's default system.

One interesting thing to note is that, according to an e-mail that I got from them, it takes several days for their stuff to work itself into your site.

    Publisher Interface

Very simple. Their's only like 4 links you can click. They bring you to your report, tags, account and log out. Nothing fancy to find. All very simple. Get in and get out pretty much. Your ad codes are all placed on one page in a textarea box for copy and paste.

Account information doesn't seem to be protected by Secure Socket Layer (https) You'll have to enter your all your information in http. Which doesn't look too good for me to be honest. It only cost like what...$75 a year to get one? Most people probably don't care, but it makes you look better if you have one I think.

The stats page is simple as well. It lists all your earnings base on the time frame you put. You can list by Day, Ad Type, and a few others that I'm not really sure about.

    Customer Service

I have no comments on this but I'm sure it's dandy.

    Final Thoughts

CPMStar might be a misleading name for them I think. They are in fact a CPA network. Maybe they do got some CPM stuff in there. I seen some ads served through them coming from ValueclickMedia.

This network belongs in the lower rung of tier ladder I think. Rates are too low even if their stuff is highly targeted.

I ran them with 40,000 impressions, had like 40 leads. Leads were like .10 to .50 per conversion. So not that impressive.

I can add to Customer Service comments. I've opened an account few weeks ago, still seeing "pending" status, no response. Not so dandy as far as I'm concerned. If I'm rejected, say so, don't keep me waiting for undetermined time. A sign of poor customer service, imo.

It's a pity their payout is so low. I was looking for a CPM program that specialised in the gaming niche in particular for a new site of mine. The lack of affiliate program really puts me off as well.

That's like 80% of the networks out there.

The only people who reply back to me if I get rejected are, tribal, fastclick, google, and casale.

All the other networks that I applied with...no response.

    Try resubmitting an application.

    85,342.00 0.23 % 199 20 $0.10 $8.34
20/8:34 = .47 cent per lead. IMO should go with azoogle or neverblue. They got some gaming stuff for you. The results are above are just for filler ads. If i try to market or display agreesively, it should be higher. Maybe double? Who knows...I'll try it next month.

Now that I said that I have to update. I left it hanging there for another few weeks and forgot about it. Today I remembered it, found that I'm not yet reviewed, sent an email. Got a response in 30 minutes and got my account approved.

I don't know what was the reason for neglecting my application so long but once I contacted them the support I got I can indeed call dandy after all.

I am still languishing in the pending status. I will follow the procedures you outlined php_daemon and see if they work for me as well.

    Thank you for the information.

I am wanting to try them out however, they require 10 unique visitors a day.

Im working on that but my sites just a few weeks old.

I've not heard really anything that great or bad about them
