Want to use B&W Transition to Color?

Have a masthead that opens my website, and want it to go from B&W to color. I am able to reproduce what I want in ProShow Gold, a slide show program that I have used in the past. The problem? How do I add it to my HTML files, and how do I get the last photo (full color) to stay in my masthead (it fades out now)?

I'm not quite sure I'm following you here. Do you have an example of what you're looking to achieve I can look at?

The file extension is psh. and it's simply a short slide presentation with three slides. First one is B&W, next is mixed, and last is full color. When it runs on PSG it's nice, but not sure I can use it with HTML. Tried simply inserting the name of file and extension (like an image and also link) but no go.

Will see if I can post it here...

By "PSH" do you mean a Perl shell, or something else entirely, like a PowerPoint presentation?

Think I am out of my league with this idea. Psh file is a by-product of the Photodex Proshow Gold Program.

Maybe you can have two images overlayed and make the transition with a javascript setting the opaque on the b&w top one?

If thats your choice, it would make this a javascript topic.

If this Photodex Proshow Gold is a program that you need to run the slide show, then you're out of luck for using it on the web. Every one of your visitors would need a browser plug-in to see the animation.

In which case the best alternative would be Flash or an animated .gif file.

Autistic answered the question, and it was pretty stupid of me to assume anyone viewing the site would have the PSG program. Just wasn't thinking.. Will put this on the back burner for now.

    Thanks everyone.

I might be able to help with some Javascript if you have the files in .jpg format.

if you can figure out a way to extract or export them to either .jpg, .gif or .png I should be able to help.
