Can I Make My WordPress Blog Offline?

I just wanna ask can i work on ma wordpress blog offline or make a new wordpress blog offline because ma web host is under maintenance for a few days.And i wanna complete ma blog before host is finally up..

You don't need to be online to edit files. But ideally you should have a localhost server (WAMP, XAMPP, EasyPHP, etc) to run a copy of it of your own computer. Then you can upload the modified files and UPDATE the database when the online server goes live.

I have a local server with XAMPP, both in Vista and Ubuntu where I develop WordPress themes for clients and for myself. It is easy to set one up. Good Luck!

i hav also installed Localhost WAMP server..its working f9...
