Create an XML sitemap and submit it to Google - Sign up at google.com/webmasters

That will help get you indexed. Then submit your url here http://blogsearch.google.com/ping

And what rendell said - Get quality back links and that will help your PR

It takes time. You likely won't see an increase in PR for several months. Get some natural seasoning on that blog, keep it active, and it will pick up.

    Good luck!

PR is entirely about the number of links to your site, the PR of the pages that link to your site, and how many other pages that those pages also link to.

The only way to increase your PR is to get more pages to link to yours. The way to increase your PR faster is to get pages with higher PR and fewer other outgoing links to link to your page.

Nothing else will affect PR at all.

Your PR will also have little effect on where your page ranks in the search results on Google since PR is only a minor factor in their calculation and will have no effect whatever on any other search engine since Mr Page doesn't own any of the other search engines and so the Rank he assigns to your page will not be used by them (although other search engines may have their own link based calculations that are named after someone other than Larry).

    Hi there

Why are u so interested in pr, pr is just a number that is totally useless at getting you more people onto your website, and surely that is your aim

Dont you want more visitors to your website ? rather than a high pr ?

Stop concentrating on pr, and get good quality RELEVANT links to your site, it will get you more people on ur site rather than a useless high pr number !

offer candies and beer to site owners and webmasters j/k

seriously if you want to increase your PR, update update update post original content for your blog and normally people would link to you, blog commenting on some blogs related to your niche also helps gain back links.

but whats the use of high PR when your not converting good enough?
i would gladly trade PR 1-PR 5 for 500+ targeted visitors if given the chance,
that's where the is rite not on that evil little yoyo green bar on the bottom right of your screen that goes Up and Down

Link building is all you need to do for PR. The more Quality backlinks you have, the more PR you will get. So give whole 1 month to build quality link with article submission, Directory submission, Do follow comments, forum posting and social bookmarking. You need to do not only efforts but Continuous effort in order to achieve your target. And blah blah, within 3 months you will get the PR you want. So dude start now.....all the best.

Work on getting social bookmarking package orders, and especially work with Digg to see if you can get tons of Digg's which would really help you rank well if your on Digg's mani page.

As said previously build backlinks. There's dozens of ways and you should use multiple techniques. If you want to build one way back links from blog comments use a tool like this. I created this one but there's others too. Just search.
