What's the best way to send out my newsletters?

    Hi all

Been running a site now for some time and have a basic PHP form to submit email address to my DB table.newsletter on my site.

My problem is; I now have hundreds of email address but not sure or what script to use to automatically send out monthly newsletters weekly newsletters or just send them when I have some site updates.

What do you suggest? What will I need to do?

Basically I need something to pass my latest newsletter/email to and run through my DB and send them to all the email address individually.

    Thanks cb

have you possibly thought of an email service - the following comes highly recommended and isn't all that expensive from what I've been told:
    http://www.mailchimp.com/index.phtml

    and the other:

    Great links Nadia thanks!

I was hoping to build a script of my own to take care of all this. Gets a bit pricey if you need to start sending out a few thousand newsletters a month or every week.

Can anybody else help with this?

    Thanks

Problogger Darren Rowse is using Aweber for his newsletter distribution. He said it was good. Maybe you could try it yourself.

Actually if you're using php, you may want to ask the question over at the php forum: http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=34
You may get some useful tips over there.

Check out Vertical Response. You can pay per email sent or they just started a monthly script as well. i use it for our company email blasters. Works great and you can add your own html if you choose to do so.
