I'm looking to create a headline for my site, sports-central.org, and does anyone know how/where I can get a pre-made one that I just customize or can explain how to create one? I need to be able to update the various headlines without changing the code on the page... would this be called an applet? I plan to let other sports sites use this to give them free sports headlines.

    Thanks.

    Marc,

This is likely a very complicated process...what I would do is use the NewsScroll DHTML scroll found at http://www.bratta.com - I think you can probably store this code in a file called "newsscroll.js"...and then call on this file like an SSI file...I don't know the code for calling this file offhand but I believe someone here should...you should use the absolute path (not the relative one) for the other sites who'll be using so they're all "calling" it from your site.

I recently learnt a bit of Java for a scroller, it was 4 A4 pages and only produced a small banner that lasted for about 4 seconds
