    Unhappy Mouse out and on click issue

    Wow! after spending a lot of time googling and posting this ? on 3 other forums --no solution yet!!! Who has the answer?

    I'm still fairly new at web design programming so I'm using dreamweaver and then studying the code it produces...

    Here's my dilemma:
    On a new site I just finished designing/programming the home page for (all client has budget for at the moment)
    I set up a new nav bar.
    The mouseover/mouseout function works great.
    BUT the problem comes onclick. I have the buttons set up as relative links to their respective html pages. What I don't like is that the click (since it isn't a mouse out move) doesn't change the button back to the down state.
    This wouldn't bother me, exept that when you go back the button is still in the down state --not until you actually mouse out does it restore.
    I'm assuming I need some code to restore the down state buttons on refresh--this is just a guess.
    the site: replenishmedspa
    thanks for any help on this.

    Why dont you restore your button onclick, before you do what you are supposed to do?

    example
    onclick="onclickFunction()";

    function onclickFunction()
    {
    //restore button
    //and then
    // do the onclick thing.
    }
