pdf as thumbnail

Can anyone tell me how to make pdf file appear as a thumbnail on my website? I only know how to create a link to a pdf file.

No browser I know of renders PDFs natively; they need a plug-in. You'd probably need to take a screen shot of the PDF, resize the image and save it in a standard image format (PNG, JPEG or GIF).

thanks that is a good solution. I actually converted it first to a jpg.
