    Django vs. Pylons

I'm curious about your personal experience with these two Python frameworks. I've heard all of the theoretical positive and negative things about both, so I am curious about any individuals who have really gotten their hands dirty building web apps on top of either. Please share your stories if you have them.

I'm working mostly with Django but I gave Pylons a try a couple of months ago for a small project. What I think is nice about Pylons is that it's quite a thin layer over WSGI and the community offers tons of tutorials about how to integrate component xyz with it. My main problem with it was, that it had nothing even remotely comparable to Django's new forms API. But apart from that I had quite some fun with it :-)

But if you want to work on really low-level HTTP-stuff or your project isn't large enough to warrant a whole framework behind it, you might also want to take a look at the Werkzeug project, which provides an even thinner layer on top of WSGI :-)
