How to generate XML data from mySQL DB?

I want to use PHP to generate XML data on the fly from mySQL DB. I need to do this to distribute content across all my sites. Anyway, I don't want PHP to actually create a XML file. I only want XML data generated dynamically so I can use XSL to transform the data.

So, my question: How do I generate XML data from mySQL DB?

    Thanks!!!!

    do it manually..

mysql doesn't have built in XML response to SQL queries like virtuoso, mssql, or oracle.

you're better off just making some functions in php to do it for you.

Sybase ASE also does as well. You could always use a bigger RDBMS to connect into MySQL and then dump out the XML. Or dump MySQL and load into another RDBMS.. Or just dump MySQL.
