    How to recognize a color

I once read on sitepoint forums how to determine the color found on an image or on a website. Can anyone point me to that post or reply with a suggestion? One of the tools may have been an Add-on in Firefox.

    Thanks much!

Not sure. It doesn't look familiar and not sure if it will give me the html color code, but I'll give it a try.

Spike, I think that's it! Are there other techniques too? Thought I found a post with several tools and suggestions a month or two or so ago.

you click on the icon on the lower left corner, and then on the page.
The color code will be catched, and with a right click over the color picker icon, you will be able to copy the value

On the webpage you want the colour from, click on the icon in the bottom left of the screen to activate the dropper crosshairs.

Click or mouseover the colour you want and click. This logs the colour in the box, right click on the icon and copy in whichever format you want r,g,b CMYK or hex

    Edit:

Or you can do like me, and screen-shot the whole screen. Paste into Photoshop and use the Eye-dropper.

Their way is easier, of course.
