Question for Drupal experts
I've just had a client approach me with a job, and I'm not sure if I should take it. I would classify myself as an amateur when it comes to php, but I have been wanting to learn Drupal for a while. Here's what he wants: it's a site for a movie theatre and he wants content management, a customer database - to send newsletters and automated e-mails - then he eventually would like to pre-sell tickets online. Can I do this with Drupal without having to write custom modules?

Using the Ubercart ecommerce module? Absolutely. On the other hand, while Drupal is extremely powerful CMS, that powerfulness comes with a price of a steeper learning curve. But when you start to get your way along it, there isn't anything that can't be done with it; posibilities are limitless.

I checked that out - thanks very much. I know that Drupal has a bit of a learning curve, but hopefully I'll be able to pick it up sooner or later. Actually, sooner rather than later!
