Designing HTML basic buttons in Photoshop

What are the properties of an unmodified HTML button? I.e. colors, shades, borders, degree of curvature, etc. I did search a lot for a tutorial on this to no avail.

Anyone know how to design them exactly as they are?

That would vary depending on the web-browser.

True. However, IE & Firefox have almost the same look; which is nearly a web convention for what HTML buttons are.

And after that, the colour of the default buttons and the size of their text depend on the computer's Display Settings.

AFAIK, these are desktop buttons not HTML ones! By that I mean ordinary form submission buttons.

I want to figure out the official properties of an ordinary button, but I couldn't find any resources, even W3C docs do not contain such info.

Change your Display Properties, then load up a web-page and you'll see what I mean.

The default button for an HTML form (in Firefox and IE) is based on the computer's appearance defaults. Trust me.

Looks like you're right! I rarely ever play with desktop settings or install those fancy desktop enhancement shareware programs.

I guess I'll muddle through this till I make something satisfactory.

    Thanks Shaun.
