right and left image border for container of website

Warm Greetings!
As I am learning Photoshop for Website. I hope, will get help from this forum.

I would like to have left and right dropdown shadow border using image for the container of website but I don' know how to achieve this. Container width is 800px.

I have attached the image file here. This image is 800px wide . Left and right border can be seen. Now I want both the side shadow. I did not create this image but somehow I got it. I want to know the steps for creating such type of image.

I need your help.

Dear All,
I think I am not being specific about my problem.

I just want to call image side image in CSS

#container
{
	background-image: url(../images/cont.gif);
 
}

cont.gif is a image which has left image and right image for the container to display image. both image are 800px far from each other.
I just want to draw cont.gif. But no idea..

Don't forget to tile your background image vertically.

Google search for CSS background tutorials and repeat-x / repeat-y .

mmm I was asking me the same Question about the BG thing. What about if we make image as larger than the DIV plus de shadows?

example:



This image is 560 px wide, (my "container" is 500 px wide) plus a 30 px each side for the shadow. I guess we can play with padding for that container or with another div.

But I don't know if it's the best way.
