How to turn off thise thing in Photoshop? *screenshot*

See image attached. For some reason, this transformation-style selection marquee has turned up and I dont' know how to turn it off. IT'S NOT A TRANSFORMATION selection. It's something else...and not sure how to turn it off. Everytime I select a layer, these squares appear.

In Photoshop CS3, when the Move Tool is selected, the main toolbar has a checkbox "Show Transform Controls" that would look like that. Perhaps you have that checked off. I don't know where it is in other versions of PS.

It looks like you have the 'Show bounding box' option checked. Try unchecking it.
