Color Select Tool (Gimp has one, does PS?)

The color select tool in Gimp always seemed to come in handy for me, does anyone know of something similar in Photoshop? If anyone is not familiar with Gimp the color select tool worked like magic wand, except it would make it selection everywhere on the image and not just around the clicked region.

You can achieve the same effect with Photoshop's Wand tool - just deselect the "Contiguous" box.
Alternatively you can use "Similar" from "Select" menu, after selecting your color.
