Disable color in photoshop ?

Is possible to disable a color in photoshop ? For example I have a gradient:

white | white | white | light yellow | light yellow x2 | yellow

I want to hide the white color (#fff). Because I need to select only the other colors. Is possible to do this in photoshop ?

can you show us the graphic?
can't you do that with the magic Wand?

u can do it, but you will have to make really precise selection for that and also you will have to define the tolorence level smartly to make a selection by using a magic wand tool
