    Smile Wordpress Cleaker Theme Nav Bar

    Hi,

    I am just starting to design a blog site and have decided to use Wordpress and theme called Cleaker 3.0. I can not seem to figure out how to edit the nav bar. I can not fine any php file to edit to add, change or remove nav buttons. Is anyone using this theme or can suggest how to go about editing the nav bar. Thanks for any help you can give.

    I am not familiar with this theme, but my guess is the nav is located in a file named header.php located within the wp-content/themes/Cleaker 3.0 folder.

    Though depending on how the theme is designed, this may be able to be changed/edited within the WP dashboard located at: http://www.yourdomain.tld/wp-admin/

    If you post the nav code from this header.php file here, I or someone can give a more accurate answer.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks BPartch,
    Here is the code of the header.php. The nav bar has by default two buttons
    About and Home. I want to add few more nav buttons.

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="<?php bloginfo('html_type'); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo('charset'); ?>" />
    <title><?php if (is_single() || is_page() || is_archive()) { ?><?php wp_title('',true); ?> | <?php } ?><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></title>
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/style.css" media="all" />
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?> RSS Feed" href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>" />
    <link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo('pingback_url'); ?>" />
    <?php wp_head(); ?>
    </head>

    <body>
    <div id="wrapper">
    <div id="header">

    <form method="get" id="searchform" action="<?php bloginfo('home'); ?>/">
    <div><input type="text" value="Search" name="s" id="s" onfocus="if (this.value == 'Search') {this.value = '';}" onblur="if (this.value == '') {this.value = 'Search';}" />
    <input type="image" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/images/searchIcon.gif" align="top" alt="Search" id="searchIcon" value="Search" />
    </div>
    </form>
    <h1 class="title"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></h1>
    </div>
    <ul id="Nav">
    <?php wp_list_pages('sort_column=menu_order&depth=1&title_li='); ?>
    <li><a <?php if (is_page('home')) echo('class="current" '); ?>href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/">Home</a></li>

    You add more by creating Pages in your WordPress administration area. Other than the "Home" link which is hard coded, the theme is just displaying the list of WordPress Pages in your header.

    Thanks BPartch and Dan for helping me out.

    Between the information that you both gave me I managed to figure it out. I just had to know where to look and how to do it. I love this site. People up here are helpfull and quick to lend a hand! What a cool site this is!

    I added the following code line to header.php which allowed me to add a new nav button for a link back to my home website from my blog site. <li class="page_item"><a href="http://www.coolestcheaplaptops.com/">WebSite Home</a></li>

    So now my header.php looks like this:

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="<?php bloginfo('html_type'); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo('charset'); ?>" />
    <title><?php if (is_single() || is_page() || is_archive()) { ?><?php wp_title('',true); ?> | <?php } ?><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></title>
    <link rel="shortcut icon" href="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/style.css" media="all" />
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?> RSS Feed" href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>" />
    <link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo('pingback_url'); ?>" />
    <?php wp_head(); ?>
    </head>

    <body>
    <div id="wrapper">
    <div id="header">

    <form method="get" id="searchform" action="<?php bloginfo('home'); ?>/">
    <div><input type="text" value="Search" name="s" id="s" onfocus="if (this.value == 'Search') {this.value = '';}" onblur="if (this.value == '') {this.value = 'Search';}" />
    <input type="image" src="<?php bloginfo('template_directory'); ?>/images/searchIcon.gif" align="top" alt="Search" id="searchIcon" value="Search" />
    </div>
    </form>
    <h1 class="title"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></h1>
    </div>
    <ul id="Nav">
    <?php wp_list_pages('sort_column=menu_order&depth=1&title_li='); ?>
    <li><a <?php if (is_page('home')) echo('class="current" '); ?>href="<?php bloginfo('url'); ?>/">Blog Home</a></li>

    <li class="page_item"><a href="http://www.coolestcheaplaptops.com/">WebSite Home</a></li>

    </ul>
    <ul><?php if (function_exists('CNShowit')) { CNShowit(); } ?></ul>
