    Validator errors

    Hi

    please can anyone explain to me what these problems mean on the W3c validator?:

    Line 149, Column 6: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: body line 18 and div.
    </div><!--end of container-->✉

    Line 173, Column 7: XML Parsing Error: Opening and ending tag mismatch: html line 2 and body.
    </body>

    This is the page:

    Make sure that all of your div tags are closed. Your last script tag before closing the body has a closing div tag but I don't know what it is closing or if it is an unneeded extra.

    And this probably should be in the HTML/XHTML forum.

    Thanks but i am almost positive that all divs are closed and i have tried validating it without the last script but i still get the same errors :-(

    Wasn't sure which forum to put this in, XHTML probably would have made more sense!

    The error message doesn't seem to match the code you've pasted. As far as I can see, the error is an extra </p> tag (or, rather, a missing <p> tag) after the "cof" field in the search form.

    Ah thank you that is it - i had an extra </p> in the search form - that fixes it. The validator error was giving me the wrong code line number.

    Thanks a lot
