    how do I convert an xml file to html file?

    You can use any technology that can traverse XML structure and output the result: C++, PHP, Ruby, .NET, Java, etc. You can convert it programmatically or with browser-integrated XSL processor.

    Detailed answer requires more details from you.Why do you need to convert it, who will look on it, what what want, etc.

    The simplest way is probably to use an XSLT style sheet to transform the XML document into HTML.
