Where to find quality backlinks?

I've just started a new free dating website, FindOneTrue.com and I'm getting a little traffic (very little) but no where near what I'd like. I believe the site is appealing and useful (critiques are welcome) and I've done some SEO but I am clueless on how to get quality backlinks. I can't imagine any other dating sites exchanging links with me...so where should I turn for quality backlinks?

You can join some good dating forums and be an active member of that forum. It will give you a good traffic. Also use social bookmarking. Blog commenting will give you some good backlinks..

Just curious...how old is the site? Anyway, SSJ is right on with all 3 points. Link exchanges with similar sites might be effective in this case.

stop blog commenting. it does no good any longer since most of blogs add 'nofollow' to outlinks.
