Wrong, no. Stupid, yes (it ain't gambling if you know you're going to win).

I do think that exploiting the poor (using potential big prizes as a hook for the less than smart) is wrong. I am VERY pleased that the super-casinos aren't going ahead in the UK now - that whole thing stank of wrong.

"Gamble" - does it even sound positive? Check "Gum ball" instead, at least that has a positive conotation

It's not wrong but I find it boring personally. I see the appeal just not for me.

I think it's degrading to society. There's worse things than gambling for sure but still it's not good for society.

Well, I believe, as long as you know your top priority in life gambling won't be a big problem. And you should know your limit. Gamble moderately..

Gambling is not wrong. It would become wrong if the person abuses or loosing all his money just to gambled.

That would just be silly. Of course we can live without chainsaws.

Gambling can be fun and no I don't think its wrong. We had a great card night on Friday and played poker for 7 hours straight, some won (me ), some lost but we all only came with what we were prepared to lose and shook hands at the end of the game.

I agree that there are some people with addictive personalities that can lose a sense of perspective chasing lost money that they are not likely to win back. However there are also alcoholics , overeaters, prescription drug addicts... - does that mean that all these things are bad? I think not.

I don't think it is a sin. You need to learn to do it in reason. Just gamble for fun with money you can afford to gamble with. When you have a problem it is a whole another story. Then it is destructive to yourself and everyone around you.

there's no way that we can stop Gambling because it is a part of our culture and even it is illegal and some say it is legal sometimes gambling can help others by donating in some institution. Even me I start go gamble when I was back in high school when we are playing some multi player game to add some fun we gamble to it.

Well its neither good nor bad, gambling depends on the ways you are using it. Some peopel do it as a pleasure and some out of obsession.

I think its a really bad habit to form. Its a negative addiction that can lead to serious consequences. Its not wrong per se--who decides if it is anyway? Its a matter of choice and opinion. Its bad for you but not wrong if held in moderation.

Gambling, if done responsibly, is just fine. My tipple is normally the football results and I'll often have a 10 bet on a few matches. Adds a bit of excitement with the chance of a return.

I'm under no illusion that I'm unlikely I will see that 10 again (I imagine I have pretty much funded my local bookmakers children through university by now ), but it's money I'm prepared to lose, therefore I don't see it as a problem.

On the odd occasion though that I will visit a bookies twice in one day - the second time being to collect my winnings - it is quite disturbing to see the same people sat in the same seats as they were 5/6 hours ago when I originally went in there. It's these people that took their gambling hobby and turned it into an addiction.
