ie js error reporting like in ff?

in firefox (v2 mac) there's an error console which reports any javascript errors. in safari there's no such thing unfortunately. what about ie6 and ie7? do either of those two, in a standard install, have anything like ff's error console?

i don't have ie and will be using someone else's computer who has ie6 to check some js i've done and want to know in advance what there is to help. unless it's super simple, it's not really possible for me to install extra stuff.

    thanks.

Take a look at Firebug lite. Could be useful.

IIRC you can turn on errors by going to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Check the "Display a notification about every script error" or if your able to, you can install the Script Debugger (http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/d...displaylang=en) which allows you to debug javascript in IE.
