    help - apache and php install

    This is a very annoying problem I can't find an answer for, so hopefully one of you guys can help.

    How do I set appache so that it accepts index.php as the 'main page' just like it normally accepts index.html?

    Cheers

    Tim

    Find these lines in your httpd.conf
    # DirectoryIndex: Name of the file or files to use as a pre-written HTML
    # directory index. Separate multiple entries with spaces.
    #
    <IfModule mod_dir.c>
    DirectoryIndex index.html
    </IfModule>
    add index.php

    ie,
    Code:
    DirectoryIndex index.html index.php
    Or
    add this to your .htaccess.
    Code:
    DirectoryIndex index.html index.php
