I feel embarrassed for having to ask - but I don't use too many apps on facebook, I see them being used by friends and I see them selling for big bucks if they are successful, but I have no idea how you make money from them.

Is it as simple as integrating ads into the app? If so, how are they paid, CPM?

Any examples of a well monetized facebook app?
