Simply Rails 2 - Problem in Chapter 8 - Sessions (pg 260)

So I'm having issues trying to get Rails to respect the session path. The book has the controller name as Sessions (plural), therefore the URL paths should be plural as well.

However, the book shows [localhost:3000/session/new], not sessions/new. When I try to hit the singular URL, i get the following error

ActionController::MethodNotAllowed

Only get requests are allowed.

The code in app/views/sessions/new.html.erb does not show up, but if i type in the plural URL, it shows up. Has anyone else encountered this? If so, how did you get around it?

i downloaded the code archive, and saw that they had map.resource :session as the first entry in the config/routes.rb, whereas i had it after my map.resources :stories, :has_many => :votes.

i don't know why it would need to be first, but after bouncing the rails server, it maps correctly. just in case anyone else ran into this problem.
