DP is soaked with scammers so if you're a buyer, especially if you're not an experienced webmasters who knows the way around the block, chances are about 80% you're gonna get scammed out of your money. This is bad and I've never said anything otherwise. DP is over-moderated, but at wrong places, while scammers are given green light.

However when it comes to SP, the mods are so off the leash, everything that doesn't match their opinion is gone. SP must be the most over-moderated forum on the web. There are posts with absolutely nothing wrong with it, but I didn’t get a chance to send the poster a message right away and by the time I’ve returned to a computer, the post was gone.

They will only be removed if they infringe the guidelines. So there will have been something wrong with them.

Who is Shawn? (I've never been to DP)?

Is he a member here, of the not-very-alive variety?

Are all sites that use cookies potentially vulnerable to cookie stuffing or is it just ones with certain configurations?

Just looking at Digitalpoint it seems like many of the forum topics are covered by SitePoint. Did Digitalpoint used to be part of SitePoint. Digitalpoint seems like it's a forum that needs a complete re-organisation and tidy-up.

I think the mods here at SitePoint do an excellent job.

The idea is to put the tracking cookie of an affiliate program on someone's computer. It's businesses that run online affiliate programs, paying a commission for referred sales, that are vulnerable. The cookie can be set anywhere a user can leave behind an image, iframe or javascript someone else might view.

Just because somebody's being sued doesn't automatically mean they are guilty. Looks like the lynching has started before anything's even been proven. tsk

Anyways, I wish the fella luck. It's not like EBay is the most ethical company in the world. That's why they were sued by Louis Vuitton for $64 million.

Amen. I wish everybody would remember that; and also keep in mind that when litigation is underway the parties are severely restricted in what they can say and comment on. In that light I would certainly understand if they try to moderate discussions on DP.

    It hasn't been proved yet!

Just want to remind everyone that until a judge says so, Shawn is innocent.

I been reading this topic on different webmaster forums. Most of the webmasters actually kind of think Shawn is involved in that wrong-doing; although it gotta be proved in the court. No matter what, its a bad reputation for an established business.

I'm not surprised in the least. There are people that had been saying for the longest time that Shawn is shady. Some didn't believe it, others didn't care & the rest blew sunshine up his backside all the time.

How much would the fine be? Also is Shawn really a millionaire. I would guess the law suit would be in millions coz its involving Ebay.
