I was a reviewer a while ago for that thing called the "coop".
Every now and then I would get very strange ads being submitted related to ebay. I made several posts about it and they were always ignored.
Now I understand...
That guy is a thief and I hope he ends up in jail.

Are they being sued by a different company instead or in addition to ebay using them?Community Team Advisor

Why do people rob banks?
They just have no morals or ethics. Bunch of scumbags that should be locked up.
Hope this "shawn" guy ends up in a cell.

Given that he's a party to a lawsuit, he's technically not allowed to discuss it as it's an ongoing matter. (Yes, I've been down that road before - twice in federal court.)

Twice? For cookie stuffing? (which, by the way, is the topic here)

Off Topic:
No, I sued a couple of collection agencies in federal court back in 2005. One was a class action (I was one of the class leaders).Save the Internet - Use Opera | May my mother rest in peace: 1943-2009

I think it's still an ongoing case. eBay filed an amended complaint in March. VERY interesting reading.
eBay alleges that from June 8-19 2007 Hogan stuffed roughly 650,000 cookies. That is just the period that they were watching the stuffing activity. They allege though that he had been engaged in cookie stuffing since 2004. That's got to be millions of cookies over that time period!
When an eBay employee asked Hogan about his ad network he said that it "works like evolution in nature" and that "while it's really (REALLY) neat and would like to show everyone just to show off...it's really not a good idea if I give it away". LOL hilarious. Modesty doesn't seem to hinder him in any way.
Just reading through the complaint it looks as though eBay has done their homework. They even created a "special gif" and placed it on the eBay homepage as a tool to track Hogan and Dunning's alleged cookie stuffing.
While Hogan has millions of dollars to throw around I don't think he will win this one. It will be interesting to see the fallout once the case is decided though.
