    Loading a .flv using a querystring with paramers

    Hello everybody

    I've googled a lot but couldn't find a solution to the problem which I'm facing but there are a lot of threads discussing this issue.

    I've created a video player using flvPlayBack and it plays the flv files when I give it an absolute path to the flv like mydomain.com/coolvideo1.flv

    but the problem for me is that I'm hosting my videos on another server, and I can only access them using a url with many parameters in querystring. like:

    domain.com/abcd?a=alsdjfldsj&b=asdfjlsadjflkjsa&c=alsdfjlasdjf

    if I set it like
    myFlvPlayer.contentPath = "domain.com/abcd?a=alsdjfldsj&b=asdfjlsadjflkjsa&c=alsdfjlasdjf"

    it returns me an error 1005: Invalid xml

    when I copy and paste above url in browser then my required flv file starts downloading, means the url is correctly pointing the flv file.

    Any help or workaround would be appreciated

    Regards

    A shot in the dark but did you try using "http://www.domain.com" ?

    If Jim's suggestion doesn't work, try putting
    &.flv
    on the end of the query string. I recall there's some bug with the flvPlayBack component that it doesn't like a url without a .flv on end. You'd also of course need to make sure it's the full url with http:// on the front
