Since you're asking for the "best blog softwarre" and not just any other blog software, I'll have to say yes. The majority considers Wordpress as the best.

It can be a little difficult to define "best" but because of it's open source nature and the amount of freely available plugins, I would have to say that the flexibility will make it the best choice for most people.

Wordpress is popular but that doesn't necessarily make it the right choice of blog system for for every site or site owner. Although not as popular, such systems as Moveable Type, Drupal, Expression Engine are all worth considering.

One common issue that affects a choice of blogging system is the amount of plugins needed to make the site function in the intended way. There comes a point where plugin management becomes excessive and unmanagable - in cases like these it can be worth looking beyong WP for an alternative system that has more functionality out of the box.

I guess it is not just because wordpress has fabulous settings, etc but it is how your blog works made it to be the best.

I tried Joomla, Drupal, and other less popular systems but wordpress is the best. It's a pity that you have to update it every 2 weeks but with lots and lots of plugins it really kicks a**

There can only be one "best blog software". Is WP it? Guess that is up for individuals to decide, but it is the best for me.

for me it is a "BIG YES". I strongly feel and recommend that WP is the best blog software that I have come across.

I do consider TypePad at #2 position, but WP is undoubtedly #1.

We are also using Wordpress because it is very easy to configure and to adjust. It's definitely the most used one.

If it is the best one because of these facts...well...there is no one and only truth in this respect.

Mate, it really depends on what you want to do with your blog
Yes wordpress is great for blogs with all the bells and whistles

but Blogger is great for a simple content blog

I mean if you are on a low budget and want to set up a few blogs i.e 2 or 3 then I would go for wordpress and have my own hosting accoumt for it.

But if you are planning to build a dozen blogs in a short period, then maybe blogger is a less expensive but effective alternative
