What are you are hoping to gain from the course? Are you hoping to drive organic traffic to your own websites? If you are, no formal qualifications are required. If you are hoping to take on clients, again, it's not necessary to get qualifications, though some will be impressed by them.

    What's your goal?

The main idea is to have a good SEO certificate, just to be sure that at any time I will be able to have a well-to-do job.

I don't think there are certificates out there that a prospective employer would recognise.

Take a look at some of the uk job adverts for SEOs to see what they are looking for: http://www.cwjobs.co.uk/JobSearch/Re...x?Keywords=seo

It seems that most employers are looking for experience and not qualifications.

Tanya, SEO certificate is not needed at all for doing any Job. You just need the experience and work profile. If you are a fresher then you need to have basic understanding of SEO thingy.

I can not say that I'm fresher and I really understand that the main thing in SEO is experience, but the problem is that I'm planning to work in Russia.... and in this country I should have experience + certificate

How do you know that? If you have seen job adverts for SEO's, again look at precisely what it is they're asking for.

A certificate, really? I am not aware of that. What if I present my portfolio containing all my works. Which one do they usually prefer? Just Asking.

The only 'qualification' I'm aware of that seems to be recognised is for Google Advertising Professionals, but that's pay per click advertising and not organic SEO. I have seen employers asking for this in the past.
