PayPal buttons are submitted with POST and search engine bots never POST forms. They will not follow the PayPal form action or any URLs in hidden fields.

Well thats wierd - because a client of mine has a site which has pages behind the index which aren't visible on the web without knowing the direct url, or by following the hidden fields in her Paypal buttons...

Is there any other way they could have been found?

Someone likely posted a URL on a message board.
